Receiving miracles and answered Prayers
1. Get still and honest
Before you ask quiet yourself. Get honest about what you actually need—not the polished version, but the real one. Mercy requires honesty. You can't receive mercy you haven't admitted you need.
2. Ask plainly
Ask for what you need in direct, simple words. "I need mercy here." "I need this answered." "I need a miracle." There's no magic in the phrasing. The power isn't in the words—it's in the asking itself. Asking is an act of turning toward the Hod through Jesus ratherthan away from it.
3. Release it
This is the step most people skip. After you ask, stop gripping. Stop re-asking the same thing ten times out of anxiety. The asking is done. Repeating it isn't more faith—it's less. Release means you hand it over and let go of your need to control the outcome. This is where the shift happens.
4. Become quiet and listen
After the asking and releasing, go silent. Not empty silence —attentive silence. This is where you stop talking and start receiving. You're not waiting for a voice or a sign necessarily. You're waiting for a settling. A knowing. A peace that comes over you that wasn't there before.
5. Recognize the knowing
Here's how you know it's been heard and received:
· A peace settles in. The anxiety loosens. You stop spiraling.
· A quiet certainty shows up. You can't explain it, but something in you says, "It's handled." That's not wishful thinking. That's the answer already registered in your spirit before it shows up in your circumstances.
· Your urgency fades. You still want the thing, but you're no longer desperate about it. That's the sign the mercy has already touched you.
· You start to feel gratitude before the answer arrives. Thanking in advance isn't pretending.
6. Act like it's done
Once you have that inner knowing, stop praying as if it hasn't been heard. Stop begging. Start walking like someone whose prayer has been answered and is just waiting for it to manifest. Your actions follow your belief. If you believe it's received, you move differently—with calm, with confidence.
7. Stay open to the form it takes
The answer may not come in the exact shape you pictured. Mercy may come as relief rather than removal. The miracle may come as strength to walk through rather than escape from. The answered prayer may look different than your request—but it will be what you actually needed. Stay open. Don't reject the answer because it didn't match your imagination.
8. Return and give thanks
When it comes—and when you notice it—go back and give thanks. Not because you have to, but because gratitude keeps the channel open. It seals the receiving. It completes the exchange.
short:
Ask honestly → release completely → get quiet → notice the peace and certainty → act like it's done → stay open to the form → give thanks when it arrives.
The key is this: you know it's been heard when the peace comes before the answer does. That peace is the receipt. Everything else is the package arriving later.
